Read with Me Bookclub

Halifax Learning has a proven literacy program that teaches and encourages reading.  Now the Read with Me Bookclub is available to inspire reading.

This is a monthly class designed for a young reader and their favourite adult (parent, aunt/uncle, grandparent, babysitter) to celebrate reading. Pairs will read the assigned book at home - either together aloud or parallel on their own, your choice  - then come together in a small group with other pairs to explore the book through discussion and art.

Providing a good model of reading for enjoyment is an excellent way to encourage reading in children. Group exploration of the story will help young readers learn how to examine, critique and review a story and their own reactions to it.

Monthly registration includes a copy of the book and a 9o minute session. Of course there will be (diet sensitive) snacks! 

Halifax Learning is now offering a Read with Me BookClub.  There are one, two and three month subscriptions available. Wrap up the experience with an official Read With Me certificate for one, and copies of the books chosen for each month.

Participation for each month is $40/pair which includes a copy of the book. A three month registration is $100.
